I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) (CA license LPC 34). Although this is a new license in California, it has been a viable license in the 49 other states in the U.S. for many years. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey (NJ license 37PC003313100), where I have been practicing in the field since 2001. I have worked in both hospital and clinic settings, and I have been in private practice since 2003.
I received a Bachelor of Music degree from Oberlin College with a major in music, and minor in foreign language. I have a Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory of Music, and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Seton Hall University, where I graduated with honors. I have recieved a Level 4 Certication from the Feeling Good Instutute in Mountain View, CA.
I have worked as a group facilitator at the Women’s Resource Center in Summit, New Jersey, conducting breast and uterine cancer support groups, and divorce support groups. I have also worked with the Patient Educator Program (empathy training for physicians/interns working with cancer patients) at Overlook, Mountainside and Morristown Memorial Hospitals in New Jersey. I have taught sex education to groups of adolescents and adults at numerous schools and community centers in New Jersey. In addition, I have taught and facilitated groups in Systematic Training in Effective Parenting (STEP). I presently faacilitate a group at the Feeling Good Institute, teaching therapists the David Burns' TEAM model of psychotherapy.
